Where you’ll be
You’ll be staying in a small rural farming community about 30 minutes inland from Taveuni’s north coast. The area is peaceful, lush, and filled with native flora. You’ll hear birds all day and frogs at night. The nearest waterfall is just a short walk away — and you’ll often have it all to yourself.
- Getting to the Rainforest Retreat is part of the experience — peaceful, scenic, and off the main track. Whether you’re flying into Taveuni or arriving by boat, we’ll help guide you every step of the way. You can choose a private transfer, ride a local carrier, or self-drive right up to the nearby village. From there, it’s a short walk through the forest to your cabin — we’ll be waiting to welcome you.
- From Matei Airport (Taveuni): FJD $50 (approx. 35 minutes) From Waiyevo Wharf: FJD $40 (approx. 30 minutes)
- Local carriers and minibuses travel from Waiyevo to Qeleni village. We can meet you at the roadside and guide you to the cabin from there (15 mins walk).
- Follow the main Taveuni coastal road until Qeleni junction. From there, continue inland for 10 minutes until you reach our village. Parking available near the host’s house.
