Where you’ll be
Nabavatu Village, Taveuni — a small community in the island’s fertile interior, surrounded by taro and yaqona plantations. Known for its warm hospitality and proximity to Taveuni’s natural attractions, Nabavatu offers a quiet and genuine village environment while keeping you connected to the island’s key highlights.
- Nabavatu is located inland on Taveuni, approx. 45 minutes from Matei Airport.
- Private car/van transfer from Matei Airport or Waiyevo can be arranged (approx. FJD $120 one way).
- Local buses run from Waiyevo and Matei towards villages along the main road. Guests can transfer to Nabavatu by carrier from the bus stop.
- Rental vehicles available in Taveuni (from Matei). Follow the coastal road before turning inland towards Nabavatu. Roads are partly gravel but accessible year-round.
