This simple yet spacious two-bedroom cottage sits right on the shores of Natewa Bay — the largest bay in the South Pacific. The cottage is ideal for small families or traveling duos and is hosted by a local couple who live next door and prepare meals on request. Natewa Bay is tucked away on the southeastern edge of Vanua Levu, known for its calm waters, coral reefs, and strong traditional communities. The cottage sits in a quiet corner of the bay, where you’ll fall asleep to the gentle sound of waves and wake up to the sun rising over the sea.
- Reaching Natewa is part of the adventure — and we’ll help make it smooth. Whether you’re arriving by plane or ferry, or driving in from Savusavu, we’ll guide you step by step.
- Pickup from Savusavu Airport: FJD $50 (1 hour) Pickup from Labasa Airport: FJD $120 (2.5 hours)
- From Labasa: Board a bus heading south to Nabouwalu or Savusavu. Ask to stop at Natewa Bay junction. From there, we can arrange a local pickup (FJD $15). From Savusavu: Catch the Natewa-bound carrier van from town center (runs twice daily; approx. 1 hour)
- Drive along the Transinsular Road toward the Natewa Peninsula, turning off at the Natewa village sign. The cottage is about 2 minutes from the main road — accessible via a coral driveway. Free on-site parking.
