The bure is a traditionally built timber structure with a thatched roof, fitted with a double bed, mosquito netting, solar lighting, and screened windows for natural airflow. You’ll be staying just outside Naqere village in Savusavu on the island of Vanua Levu — a quiet coastal town known for its laid-back charm, warm waters, and rich Indo-Fijian and iTaukei culture. The bure is located up a short hill track, offering peaceful seclusion with views over the bay and nearby hills.

How to get there
  • Reaching your hilltop stay above Savusavu Bay is simple, whether you're flying in, traveling overland, or driving yourself. Once you arrive in Savusavu or Labasa, several transport options are available to suit your comfort and budget. Let us know your arrival details in advance, and we’ll help coordinate your journey right to our doorstep.
  • Take a local bus from Labasa to Savusavu (2.5–3 hours). From Savusavu Town, a local minivan to Naqere can be arranged; let us know in advance and we’ll direct the driver to drop you at the entrance path.
  • Drive along the Hibiscus Highway from either Labasa or Savusavu Town. Turn inland at the Naqere junction and follow signs for “Hilltop Stay.” Park at the base of the property and walk 5 minutes uphill.
